The Freewell Pro SSD Link is a compact adapter for M.2 2230 NVMe drives that lets you expand your smartphone’s storage by up to 8 TB and take advantage of the fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface with a throughput of up to 10 Gb/s. It is designed for the iPhone 15 Pro and newer models, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, enabling direct recording of 4K ProRes footage to an external SSD. The adapter also offers 100 W PD pass-through charging, a dedicated USB-C port for digital audio, and an intelligent active cooling system, making it ideal for demanding recording sessions.

The adapter supports M.2 2230 NVMe drives with capacities up to 8 TB, providing ample space for videos, photos, and other files. This allows you to record high-quality content without having to constantly free up phone storage, as files are saved directly to a fast SSD.

10 Gb/s Transfer Speed and Smooth 4K ProRes Recording

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface provides data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s, and support for UASP and TRIM technologies allows you to take full advantage of the performance of modern SSDs. This translates to fast copying of large files and the ability to record 4K ProRes footage directly to an external drive without any loss of performance.

Simultaneous charging, recording, and digital audio support

The device features an integrated USB-C data port for direct connection to a phone or computer, as well as two additional USB-C ports: a 100 W PD port for charging and a dedicated audio port. This allows you to power the device, record footage, and use a compatible microphone all at the same time. The audio port supports only the digital audio transmission standard—it does not support devices that use an analog signal.

Smart cooling and stable MagSafe mounting

The built-in active fan, working in conjunction with an aluminum heat sink, activates automatically when the temperature reaches 35°C, helping to maintain stable performance during extended recording sessions and intensive data transfers. The magnetic MagSafe system with a non-slip silicone surface ensures a secure attachment to compatible smartphones, camera rigs, and gimbals, enhancing comfort whether you’re working in the studio or on location. The set also includes a flat 10 Gb/s USB-C cable, which allows you to take full advantage of the interface’s bandwidth and ensures a stable connection.
