Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo 3D Printer
Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo 3D PrinterThe Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo offers great creative freedom, from larger models and multi-part projects to prints using more demanding engineering materials. A large build volume, high print speed, a heated chamber, and extensive automation systems make it easy to tackle both everyday and more advanced projects. The included ACE 2 Pro module expands the device’s capabilities to include 4-color printing—with the option to upgrade to 16 colors—as well as features for drying, storage, and smart filament management.
Large Build Volume and High Print SpeedThe 350 × 350 × 350 mm build volume allows you to print large models or several smaller parts simultaneously. The all-metal CoreXY design, linear guides on the X and Y axes, and a Z-axis system featuring a single motor, three trapezoidal screws, and three guides ensure stable movement of the mechanism. The recommended print speed is 300 mm/s, and the maximum speed reaches 600 mm/s, allowing the Benchy test model to be completed in 15 minutes. A dual cooling fan ensures proper cooling of successive layers during high-speed operation.
Automatic Calibration with LeviQ 3.0The LeviQ 3.0 system automates the preparation of the printer for printing and helps ensure a proper first layer without the need for numerous manual adjustments. Adaptive leveling adjusts to the surface of the build plate, making it easier to start the next job and increasing process repeatability. This is complemented by flow dynamics calibration, which precisely regulates filament feed and ensures even material deposition.
Wide Filament CompatibilityA hotend reaching temperatures up to 350°C, a build plate heating up to 120°C, and an actively heated chamber up to 65°C provide the conditions necessary to work with a wide range of materials. The Kobra S1 Max supports PLA, PETG, TPU, PET, PVA, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PA6-CF, PC-CF, PC-GF, PET-CF, PLA-CF, and PETG-CF. This allows you to create everything from simple models and functional parts to advanced projects made from carbon- or glass-fiber-reinforced filaments.
Durable Components for Technical MaterialsThe extruder uses a hardened steel gear, making it suitable for use with carbon-fiber-reinforced filaments. A titanium alloy coupler creates a thermal barrier that helps reduce the risk of clogs during high-temperature printing. The hardened steel nozzle is resistant to abrasive materials and offers a service life six times longer than that of a brass nozzle.
ACE 2 Pro and Printing in Up to 16 ColorsThe included ACE 2 Pro module enables 4-color printing, and with an upgrade, the system can support up to 16 colors. Four independent brushless motors ensure smooth material feeding, while the next-generation buffer ensures seamless filament feeding and retraction and reduces the risk of jams. Filament loading speed has been increased by 100%, which, according to the manufacturer, saves 77 minutes over 100 material changes.
Drying and intelligent filament managementThe ACE 2 Pro actively dries the filament at temperatures up to 65°C, even during printing. Built-in temperature and humidity sensors monitor conditions inside the module, while a solenoid valve actively removes moisture. The built-in assistant estimates the remaining filament, supports automatic filament changes and refills, and provides smart filament identification, reducing the need for manual supervision of spools during operation.
Smart print process controlThe Anycubic Kobra S1 Max uses AI-based features to detect potential issues during operation. The system recognizes foreign objects on the print bed and “spaghetti” errors, and the Object Skipping feature allows it to bypass a damaged part when printing a series of models. The device also supports automatic resumption after a pause and continues the job after a power loss. The printer is also equipped with a filament end sensor that prevents the print from stopping due to a lack of material.
Convenient Operation, Quiet Operation, and FiltrationThe Kobra S1 Max can be ready to start printing in about 10 minutes after unboxing. The Quick-Release Hotend and easily accessible waste channel simplify daily operation, and control is handled via a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen. Silent mode reduces the printer’s noise level to 45 dB, while the ACE 2 Pro operates at a noise level below 48 dB, and its motors have a rated lifespan of at least 5,000 hours. The package is rounded out by an activated carbon filter, and an additional pack of activated carbon is included.
The Anycubic Ecosystem and Convenient Project ManagementThe printer is compatible with AC Slicer, PrusaSlicer, and Cura, and Anycubic Slicer offers preset parameter sets for various materials, making it easy to select settings and get started. The device supports STL and OBJ files, and the output format is GCode. The Anycubic app lets you remotely monitor print progress in real time, record the process using the time-lapse feature, and share recordings, while the Makeronline platform provides access to a database of models and inspiration. The Kobra S1 Max supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, including Wi-Fi 6, as well as an Ethernet port. Included in the set
