Roll preventionLike most retractable tape measures, the JIMI Home tape measure is equipped with 2 retraction brakes. There is a button on the bottom that allows you to adjust the speed of the tape retraction or when you want to take a quick measurement. At the top is a switch that, when lowered down, locks the tape from retracting so you can take a longer measurement or take off the measurements to record. 
Durable and easy to read measureThe tape itself has been coated with nylon on both sides, making it resistant to measure and number wear. On top of that, it's flexible enough that it won't tangle or break during use. Unlike metal tapes, nylon has no sharp edges, so the possibility of cutting yourself has been minimized. 
Bridging the gapWe often use tape to measure lengths from the outside and inside. Therefore, the metal end of the tape is not permanently mounted to be able to compensate for the difference that its thickness creates and affects the final dimension.
