Garmin BC 30 Wireless Backup Camera A high-quality rear view camera such as the Garmin BC 30 can significantly improve visibility to the rear of the vehicle for drivers and thus help minimize the risk of "blind spot" accidents when reversing.
Undo without worry. When paired with a compatible GPS navigator, the BC 30 Wireless Backup Camera helps you spot vehicles, pedestrians, animals and other hard-to-see obstacles behind the vehicle. If the camera is connected to the reversing lamps, the navigation device can automatically display the camera image each time the gear is shifted into reverse - when you shift to a different gear, it automatically switches to navigation mode.
Clear rearview image preview. Another option is to connect the system to a permanent power source, which allows you to switch between navigation mode and rear view camera mode at the push of a button. Then the transmitter transmits the image from the camera to the receiver of the navigation device mounted up to 10 meters (the range varies depending on the method of installation; for some vehicles it may be necessary to use an extension cord, which can be purchased separately).
Installation by a qualified professional is recommended. Garmin recommends that you install the BC 30 from your dealer. Nevertheless, you can make it yourself. The camera must be mounted at the rear of the vehicle and connected to a power source such as the taillights. Thanks to its rugged construction, the BC 30 can withstand the worst of the weather. Up to 4 cameras can be installed in one system, which will provide a wide viewing angle.
