The use of Matter over Thread technology ensures a stable mesh connection, greater data security, and lower energy consumption. A Matter controller with Thread Border Router functionality is required for setup, and access to advanced features and automation is provided by the Yeelight App (requires the Yeelight Hub, sold separately).
